Twisted Oval Silver Earrings

These clever earrings have been made with a safety lock device.  Made in silver, they are ovals which have been twisted.  The top prong acts as a stud, passing through the hole in the ear, and the locking device is a fork which snaps shut when the prong is inserted.  They are so useful if you are forever losing an earring.  
 
They are an unusual shape which gives rise to a lot of compliments.
